The notable thing is that Gautam Gambhir has been critical of Pakistan on several occasions. Former Pakistani captain Salman recently revealed that he has a strong relationship with former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir.
Salman mentioned that they had a meal together in Karachi, strengthening their friendship. Furthermore, they engage in numerous cricket-related discussions, where Salman praised Gambhir for his extensive knowledge and insightful analysis of the game.
"Yes, Gautam Gambhir and I are very good friends. We went out to eat together in Karachi, and we had a good conversation. When he talks about cricket, he is very meaningful. Some players are very intense on the field, and he is one of them. It's okay because every player has their temperament," - Salman said in his latest YouTube video.
It is worth mentioning that Gautam Gambhir has been critical of Pakistan on several occasions. As a professional cricketer throughout his career, he was actively involved in verbal exchanges with renowned Pakistani players such as Kamran Akmal and Shahid Afridi.
In the same video, a fan suggested to Salman that he should pick an outstanding batsman as a stand-out batter to watch during the 2023 World Cup. The options presented were Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli.
The 39-year-old cricketer acknowledged the extraordinary skills of all three batsmen but emphasized that Kohli possesses a unique ability to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
"It is difficult to choose one out of the three because they are all in excellent form. However, I don't think any expert will select another batsman over Kohli in a match. Allah has given him such abilities that he turns the direction of matches. But they are all equally dangerous," - Salman stated.
India will kick off their 2023 World Cup campaign on October 8, facing Australia at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
